Reed Bruck
Precipitous stone terraces towards southwest
Reed
Bruck is apart from reed Schön the most famous one of our
farm as well as the whole Spitzergraben.
The very precipitous stone terraces decline towards the southwest and are backed up by an enormous rock in the West.
In this rather early location within the Spitzergraben, vines of the sort Riesling are the only ones cultivated.
Like
in all good locations in the Wachau, the ground changes its substance within
reason of a few meters. Basically, the ground is decomposition
land which varies from mica slate, to gneiss, to sandstone.
Stamped by the interplay of hot and cold airmasses and the dominating mica slate gound, wines from this location are always recognizable. They taste of minerals, spicy, often of dark berries, in the youth often reserved, but have high stocking potential.
Assortment:
Riesling Federspiel Ried Bruck, Riesling Smaragd Ried Bruck
